Shuffled to a desk of someone on vacation, full of knick-knacks I don't understand and am afraid to disturb. Found enough space to put my files. Felt grogginess start to kick in, so ducked out to grab a can of Coke. Cracked the Coke can only to find out it was pressurized - Coca-Cola all over the file I was working on, plus the desk, plus my laptop, plus several of the knick-knacks which, to repeat, were not mine. Guy had left a CD sitting shiny side up on top of a calculator, and it would have been a mess if I hadn't had the glasses-lens-cleaning doodad. Which, actually, is why I carry that thing around. And why does someone leave a CD sitting out there, shiny side up, anyway?
Oh yeah, and there was the one CD case that I thought I'd gotten Coke on, but hadn't. It was an old stain. How'd I find out? By picking it up, trying to mop off the droplet of liquid, only to have the CD case come apart in my hand.
*sigh*
