Reply to this meme by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your journal and explain what they mean to you.
thanatos_kalas submitted: heritage, responsibility, justice, siren, heat.
Heritage: Half of me is Greek, half of me is an admixture of a bunch of other cultures. It says where I've come from, but not so much who I am.
Responsibility: You've got to be aware of the consequences of your actions, not just to yourself, but to those around you, and those who'll follow after you're gone. Maybe the philosopher said you should live each day like it's your last; but you should treat the world like your descendants are going to have to call it home for the next billion years or so.
Justice: in my world view, not something that comes naturally, but something we all have to work to create. It's what inspired me to go into law.
Siren: reminder of the old first-aid squad days, of being jolted out of bed at three or four in the morning for stuff that sometimes wasn't worth the expended energy.
Heat: I can handle the heat a little better than some, but I do tend to wilt when the mercury reaches a hundred degrees. Maybe one more reason Athens will never quite be home.
