Quick update

bktheirregularTranslation task went from low-priority to top priority and then sank back a bit, I think. Took three of us to finish it. Still a couple of holes in it where I didn't know how to translate Greek terms. And there was at least one spot where the language used was less Greek and more Byzantine. (In both senses of "byzantine".)
Good news, though; the family took care of ordering a replacement for my washing machine, seeing as how the old one got irreparably broken while I was back in New York last summer. New one arrives tomorrow. Finally I'll be able to wash my own clothes. (Sounds stupid, huh? Try to imagine a five-day or six-day turnaround before you can get clean socks.)
In a sense, I suppose the settling-in process is still ... in process. It's been less than two weeks since I got back, after all.
To-do list: Get checked out at hospital, get pictures for residence permit, get residence permit.
Then: remedial-to-advanced Greek lessons.
Oh, and I need to get a DVD player that'll play Region 2 discs. I brought a region-free-unlocked player with me from New York on one trip or another, but last fall there was apparently a lot of construction work going on in the neighborhood, and the player got a fatal case of dust contaminatin or something. Thing's toast...
