Nine hours to departure
Apr. 3rd, 2008 08:47 amSome scrambling yet to be done. Mostly packed (miracle of miracles, got most of my stuff into one duffel bag). Charging up things like the PDA and cell phones (my seat on the plane will have a power port, so I can draw main power to my laptop while airborne).
This time tomorrow, I'll be on the ground, back in the apartment in Athens. Then on Monday, back to work (at long last).
Have to come back to New York at least once more this year, to take a continuing-education course to keep my membership in the New York bar current. I'll probably do that in July or August, and call that my summer vacation. Any cons or gatherings or things going on Stateside around July or August? I might try to plan around that, too. Depending on how things go.
In the meantime, I'm holding steady at that stage where I know I've forgotten something, but damned if I can remember what it is.
Might be able to check in once or twice more before takeoff. Cashing in frequent flyer miles theoretically gives me access to a business-class lounge at the airport, so there might be one more update from there as well.
If not ... be excellent to one another.
