horsechicks, based on a Valentine's Day rant a few years ago. They suggested the best way to celebrate the holiday was to go out to Chicago and shoot mafiosi ... so here it is.
Viper: I can't help it. Ever since I saw Star Wars, I was a starfighter nut. I think I even had a toy Viper once. When taraljc offered up a bunch of Battlestar Galactica icons, I couldn't resist.
Wash: This one was grabbed from neonhummingbird. Loved Firefly, and again, the geekiness of wishing I could pilot a spaceship. I think it's the quote that really makes this icon, though: "Graduate, Han Solo School of Piloting".
Guide: I just threw this one together quickly when I realized they were making a film of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Not much to say, but I suppose it makes a good "stop the world, I want to get off" icon.
