Sleep's not coming.
Maybe it's the plaster dust in the air or something. Oh, I guess I forgot to mention. Got a shelf to mount on the wall over my desk, and totally frelled it up. Tried to put in self-drilling anchors and only managed to rip a nice big hole in the wall. Then I drilled out the hole and four others to put in toggle bolts, only the toggle bolts wouldn't grab. THEN I tried different mounts all over again, and hammered them into place too close to the holes for the toggle bolts, so the upshot is that the bracket for the shelf is in place, but I rather hastily pulled out the shelf from its bracket because it was sagging alarmingly, threatening to rip out of the wall and collapse on my desk, maybe ripping out my monitor wall bracket in the process.
First major screw-up in the apartment, and I've only been here three weeks.
Need sleep. Would settle for a mallet upside the head to make it happen.
