The little office where we used to run a very impressive police training program out of a double-wide trailer. Looks like they're hurting too.
They asked me if I wanted to come back. On a volunteer basis. With no pay.
Oh, yeah, and there's apparently a party-line fight going on between the training center and the county government.
A plague o' both your houses!
Ahem. Mercutio, Romeo and Juliet, Act Three, Scene One.
It's half of the question about what to do about employment and ideology. Because I can't go back there for no pay with no means to make connections.
I may go back to visit. But I can't work there, especially now.
Gonna go see if I can sign up with one of those recruiting groups, or headhunters, or something.
*sigh*
There's a lot of people out there whose lives bite far worse than mine. Have to remember that.
Doesn't mean I have to be happy with the way things are.
