New job, (not quite) same as the old job

bktheirregularSo, DrugCo, after letting me go from Legal Affairs, asked for me back in Regulatory Affairs. Basically, my job is about 134% paperwork.
Ambivalent about whether I should have taken the new assignment in the first place; instead of having two days off and going back out on the bricks to look for work, am still suffering fatigue, irregular sleep (crashing at 10pm last night led to waking up at 4:45am and never falling back), and uncertain about how to find time to get in touch with prosecutors' offices, public defenders' offices.
Probably I took the job reflexively because I'm loath to turn down work when it comes (save for suggestions from first aid squad that I take up pro bono work for them; those of you who've seen my recent entries on the first aid squad might be able to hazard a guess why).
Anyway.
Before closing time, meme time. From nowhere in particular.
Do you name your computer(s)/gadgets/vehicles/whatever? What names do you use? Where are they from, and do you stick to a common scheme?
For me:
I try to use a common theme of artificial-intelligence characters in games.
Cortana: my laptop, named for the AI from Halo.
SHODAN: my primary desktop gaming machine/DVR/datavault, named for the villainous AI in System Shock.
XERXES: an old machine I cobbled back together because some games I was interested in were obsolete on Shodan; named for a weaker AI character from System Shock 2.
Floyd: my PDA. Named for a friendly little robot in Planetfall.
(The machines need names because they talk to one another a lot on my home network.)
