Have to start thinking about packing a duffel bag for the overseas trip. Well, to be honest, I've been thinking about it - I now need to start actually doing it. Passport's in order, flight's confirmed - unfortunately, I still need to plan out the last leg of my journey, from Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport to Port Kamares.

Need to send out e-mails, but local net has AOL Mail locked out. Ah well. When I get home.

The trip isn't half as nerve-wracking as the swearing-in, though. Still haven't come to terms with it - there's something thoroughly unreal about it, still. People are starting to tell me that I should be excited about it; why am I not?

I don't know. Maybe because I'm guarding against disappointment? Maybe I'm still afraid that somehow it's not going to happen?

S minus 92. Three months yet. Hell, wars have started in less time than that.

I'm kinda like you in that way. I try not to look forward to things too much lest they not happen. Keeps me from expecting too much, I suppose, but I feel awfully cynical about it. Hm.
