bktheirregularTried to do a little tinkering with the PC today. Picked up a larger hard drive so I could do TiVo-like things with my PC, and in the process of trying to transfer my system over to the new drive, the whole thing shut down in mid-transfer.
And then Windows XP did this thing where it wouldn't let me log in. Couldn't get into safe mode, so I couldn't do System Restore. I am trying now to do a procedure to repair my installation, and it looks like it's tearing down the OS and rebuilding it from scratch. Or something.
At least if worse comes to worst, I should be able to dump my documents into an external hard disk and start over from point zero.
