...and some jackass punk kid pulled a fire alarm in the hotel. Woke everyone up, and when I went out to see if there was something going down that warranted evacuation, I locked my keys in the room.

And just when I was about to crawl into bed, too.

Regrets, I've had a few...

Tantalized by the nearness and yet distance of friends - in the original sense, bringing to mind the torment of Tantalus (the water that recedes when he stoops to drink, the fruit that retreats to escape his grasp). Still, I don't regret the trip. Seen sights I otherwise would have missed, left my troubles behind.

One more day out here, then the long train ride home, like they did in the old days.
