Noodling with things

The preparations to move to Manhattan proceed apace. I wasn't part of it today; I got called yesterday to start a temp gig, only to find out today that the person who I was supposed to be temporarily replacing had decided not to leave the company, and therefore no replacement would be needed. Still, a day's work is better than nothing.

I did manage to set up a New York City number for myself, though. Didn't even have to go through the telephone company, either; I did it through Skype. (Oh, lord, there he goes again with the Skype thing, I bet you're saying.)

(Actually, should I just shut up about the Skype phone service thing in the future?)
