Thoughts on a day without ... er ... work
Mar. 6th, 2006 06:27 pmDidn't work for pay - Shoe Inc. terminated my assignment - but that's not to say I was lazing around.
Needed to get a new copy of the title to the old cruiser - found out that the paperwork had never cleared after I paid off the car loan, and it took something like four hours to get that straightened out.
Then it came time to clear out the Intrepid - I'm donating it for the tax write-off next year, because it'd be hellish to try and sell it on short notice with the rear-end damage it took thanks to Yuppie Tank Entitlement Bitca last fall - and I spent something like two hours crawling into the trunk to salvage old law casebooks and older first-aid squad paperwork.
Two things I realized:
1) I'm out of shape. But I knew that.
2) Gorram, but that trunk held a lot of junk over the last eight years.
