I am not a number!
Jan. 4th, 2006 10:46 pmJury duty today. Got picked for a civil jury, got through the voir dire (the questioning of jurors) without being the subject of a challenge (last time, three years back, I'd been called up in a criminal case, and got bounced by the prosecutor), and prepared to spend the next week as Juror Number 6.
Left at the end of the day, prepared to make phone calls and cancel doctors' appointments and all sorts of !fun stuff. Was stopping off to buy a pack of Lightscribe disc blanks when I got a call. Judge's chambers. They settled the case.
So, I guess I am a free man after all.
On the downside, my thyroid issues have returned with, if not a vengeance, a significant snarl. Shakes came back today, in the arm and leg. Gotta call the doctor, first thing tomorrow.
