This Labor Day, I thought, was going to be enjoyable.
Got tickets to a double-header, something like the first traditional double-header New York's seen in ages. And what happens?
The Tampa Bay Devil Rays, whose series with Detroit was cancelled so the teams could get out before the hurricane hit, didn't get out in time and may not get to the ballpark at all. So, no double-header.
That's life. One has to expect those things.
No, what really gets me is that in trying to tune my el-cheapo Walkman knockoff to CBS to pick up the latest report, I get a signal bleeding from ABC, which is broadcasting Rush "Talent on Loan from Anubis" Limbaugh.
Brings up a question, actually: if you've been loaned something from somebody, don't you have an obligation not to abuse it? You know, to be ready to give it back in much the same condition as it was when it was loaned to you?
