Quiet time

Peaceful inning, actually. Kid brother forgot to call and say he was gonna be out tonight - good thing I called to see what his dinner plans were. So, don't have to worry about complaints about some portions being too large or too small, or the mixture of veggies to grains, or what have you.

Liking what's happening in the Yankee-Red Sox game, but sympathetic winces over what's going on with the Cubbies.

Psst - Cubs fans: watch out for Pettitte's pickoff move. *g*

I saw the following poll on a game news site today:

Which of these will happen before Half-Life 2 goes gold?

- The Presidential Election

For the non-gamers who read: "going gold" is equivalent to a book going to press (traditionally, the CD containing the publishing print of the game would be gold-colored). And Half-Life 2 is a trouble-plagued (technology issues, victimized by hackers, programming source code stolen) sequel to what many consider one of the greatest computer games of all time.
