Rare TV sighting

Rare because I don't generally watch much TV.

Flipped on the TV to get ready to swap out a dead VCR for one that's not quite so dead.

Was amused to learn that Gary Oldman is having difficulty getting his mind around the fact that he has now been immortalized in Lego.

(Harry Potter Lego, to be precise.)

Note to anyone who uses messaging to send email LJ updates:

The three short updates appearing on my LJ today were posted seventy-eight hours ago.

We're not talking "instant" messaging here.

Got feedback from someone on "Scarab" who was mostly positive, but mentioned that one of the concepts I'd used in it - a Slayer having been Called on another world - had been used in another fic, which apparently led to something of a discordant note in the reviewer's sense of the fic. Or something like that.

I took a look where I was pointed. Turns out there are two stories, Visionary and Bane of Anubis. They both use the name Tarithna (I used an apostrophe, as in "Tarith'na") ... and they both seem ... somewhat off to me.

Then again, since the first I'm hearing of it is from someone who says "I hope they got your permission to use the concept", it's entirely possible that I'm not the best judge in the matter.

So I'm asking my friends to have a look. That'd be anyone who's reading this entry. I'll be grateful for opinions and recommended courses of action.
