(no subject)

Ran across a fic (which I found through marysues, so I should have known better), which almost prompted me to submit a review.

I couldn't decide what tack to take, though.

"This story is lacking in intelligent characterization, sensible plot, or any other redeeming values." Nah - doesn't quite get across the point of how frelling bad the fic is.

"It's fine to write wish-fulfillment fantasies for yourself, but please don't inflict it on the rest of the Known Universe." Also sounds rather wishy-washy.

"This should be given to a beta reader or editor, who will hopefully respond with suggestions for improvement a list of exactly what's wrong with this fic thermonuclear weapons." Hm. Better, but they might not think I was serious...

Stress and accolades

Packing a bag for the trip to Albany and the bar. Check-in at the hotel at 3pm, possibly a 'Net connection there, though uncertain. If not, will be back in contact approximately Wednesday late late evening.
