Computers are evil.

My patchwork Frankensteined desktop machine just decided to spontaneously lobotomize itself.

So it looks like today will be consumed by mutliple backups to my laptop, the spare-parts machine I was tinkering together, a couple of old hard disks I had lying around, and the rest to CD's. Then ... it's brain transplant time.

This may take a while.

(Oh, and this has happened to me on my old Macintosh too, once upon a time. So destroying Microsoft is not the optimal solution.)

In the middle of rebuilding my PC, I turned on the TV and saw ... the beginning of "School Hard".
