Am now ten times more dangerous than when woke up in morning.
Purchased fairly inexpensive video capture card for computer; several factors justified, including having saved over past few weeks, tax refund apparently coming, and impending baseball withdrawal looming over parents.
To wit: while would not have made purchase at this time for own sake, am purchasing now to enable sending of taped baseball games to parents on CD. Am also very aware that video capture ability enables vidding to previously unknown levels, digital VCR recording for all those programs I've been missing (so long as they come in on the rabbit ear service provider), conversion of tapes to DVD or VCD, that sort of thing.
Have also just realized that version of Windows Movie Maker that comes with XP is more powerful than what was provided with Windows Millenium. Will experiment tomorrow with editing out commercials from baseball game.
Oh, yeah: have already tested video capture by capturing entire tape of 2000 World Series Game 5. Like announcement at top said: dangerous.
