Change of identity
Feb. 26th, 2004 09:55 pmYesterday, I suppose I was still a law student.
Today, I became a political activist, I think.
We'll see. One thing's for sure, I'm not sitting around and waiting for Election Day to try and make a difference. I'm afraid that alone won't be enough this time around, and I'm afraid that if something doesn't change now, in four years' time it'll be far too late to prevent the hideous damage that I can feel is coming, and coming soon.
If standing up to try and close the book on the current Administration sooner, rather than later, makes me an anti-American traitorous subversive, then so be it. I'd rather go down fighting for the country I still believe in, than quietly wait for America to turn into a bankrupt third-world theocratic police state.
But that's just me.
