Annoyances
Dec. 5th, 2003 04:00 pmSorry if this blog is turning into a massive gripe-fest these days, but ...
One of the jobs I'm submitting a resume for is with the New York City civil courts, and they say that in addition to the cover letter and resume, they want a UCS-5 Application for Employment Form. So I go to Google, type that out, and after a couple of dead links, find a PDF file, save it, and print it out.
Now, they're asking me to fill out all kinds of information, which is understandable. What's not understandable is that they're asking me to put a lot of information into a box that's just not ... frelling ... big enough to hold it. Under the past employment section, for example, they have a bit saying "Reason for leaving" ... and the box for each line is, I kid you not, less than one centimeter by two centimeters. There's just not enough real estate to write in.
I'm doing the best I can, though. There'll be some blanks they may ask me to fill in later. *sigh*
If they bother to even look at the thing.
Close entry.
