Introducing someone to Discworld...

Hey, gang.

Thought of getting my brother a Discworld book for Christmas, but there's so many of them that I don't know where to begin. Hoping for suggestions.

Can anyone help?

I'd start with Guards!Guards! If Sam Vimes and Errol don't suck him in, nothing will. :)

Hogfather.

It was the first one I read and also, christmas themed.

I agree. Definitely Hogfather.

I agree with the Guards! Guards! idea, with possible Wyrd Sisters and Small Gods as well.

Perri's Dad Says:

'Maskerade' if he's ever seen 'Phantom of the Opera' and appreciated it.
Otherwise 'Guards, Guards' or 'Thief of Time'. What the hell they're all good, with the exception of the first two.
