*sigh*
My brother was just mentioning that he knew several people who got imprisoned for being in the wrong place at the wrong time in the City this past week.
One case: a fellow went out for lunch with a buddy of his, their path intersected a demonstration, the one guy realized what was happening and skedaddled, but the other guy didn't bug out in time, got caught in a net, and ended up imprisoned for two days.
To review:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
Cripes, I'm worried about the future of this country.
