gaaah.

Alarm went off this morning and didn't even register. Struggled out of bed to study, marinate in the depression that comes with looking for work that's not there. I guess with all the students looking for summer jobs now, things are bound to be that much worse. Gee, thanks, George. < /treasonable sarcasm >

Tried to take a little solace in sports this weekend, but the fates were not cooperating at all. Maybe I'll have to learn how to deal with falling for a team that is wearing fate's bullseye. Can't expect sympathy since Yankees have had a good run. But maybe there's a fan futility kit or something? < looking at Cubs fans, [livejournal.com profile] neonhummingbird in particular >

I know better than to ask a Red Sox fan for help...

The first five years are the hardest.

'Cause I remember? That by the time I was seven, I was okay with the Cubs losing a lot, because I *knew* they'd make the series someday.

heh.

Alcohol, and the insane and totally unbacked-up belief that yes, your team WILL prevail. Because they will. They just will.

*dance of joy*
*toned down dance, remembering BK is a Yankees fan*
