Oh, the weather outside is frightful...

Raining all day. Plans for a family barbecue got squashed by the drip, drip, drip from the heavens, so it's time to improvise.

Looking at the Yankees and it's getting depressing. I know, they've been winning for a long time, they were due for a bad stretch, but still ...

I was watching the Yankees since the 1980's, which was a bad time for the Bronx Bombers. Basically, back then, they were has-been's, with a rich history but nothing on the field. When 1996 rolled around and the Yankees got to the World Series, almost nobody gave them a chance. That's right, people; the Yankees were the underdogs in that World Series.

Maybe the good times are over, for now.

It's a depressing thought.

Still, there are up sides in my own life ... little things. Like finding out that my tech-support-over-AIM trick got [livejournal.com profile] yahtzee63's DVD player working without blowing up her TV. Oh ... and an IM conversation that revealed a plot bunny or two ... it might be interesting. It might be very interesting. I don't dare say more...

Close entry.

*sympathy* Take heart. Were you a Cubs fan, you'd be much worse off! Gods, sometimes it's so depressing being a Cubs fan.

(I lived on the north side of Chicago. I think they add it to your lease that you have to be a Cubs fan. *g*)
