Anyone out there seen The Shawshank Redemption?

Remember the ritual that Red goes through every so often, facing the parole board, assuring them he's rehabilitated, no longer a danger to society, and gets his parole application formally stamped "rejected"?

I know that I'm not going through nearly the same thing, but when I look at the day's mail and see another thin letter from a law firm saying "sorry, we're not hiring," it feels a little bit like that.

And I'm thinking maybe I should feel a little insulted at the one firm that sent back my resume as well?

*sigh*

Remembering my own job hunt... well, I was amazed to get a RESPONSE, period. :)

Seriously, though, they sent back your resume as well? Oookay... well, I'd just not bother with them from now on. Period.

So I take it you haven't had any news from Friday's interview yet?

No word yet from the interview. Got an e-mail back Monday responding to me sending in my resume and writing sample ... basically, "we're still interviewing people, thank you for your interest."

Got a three-day temp assignment starting tomorrow morning. Not much, but better than nothing.

Though not by a wide margin...
