Delayed update

Temporary agency came through with a clerical opening. Not too exciting, but hey,it's work. Even if it is only for a couple of weeks.

Even with help from the family, unemployment is becoming not just a stigma or a pinch, but a vise-grip. Add to that the other worries of 21st-century life - I'd have a nervous breakdown except I haven't got the energy for it.

I look at the newspaper and despair. I listen to the news and my stomach flips.

Something has got to give.

Close entry.

I know you didn't intend it, but you sent the "Les Miserables" soundtrack careening through my head. *wry g*

Good luck with the job search. It's hell hunting for a job these days, but rumor has it that if us 20 and 30-somethings hang on for a few more years we'll hit some kind of hiring upsurge because of Baby Boomers retiring. Still sucks now, though.

As to the other worries of 21st century life: Yeah. I know. Words cannot express the suckiness of the early 21st century.

Sympathy pats

Watching so many friends go through job hunting hell, and can't do much to help. But good vibes coming in your direction, and remember: any job that pays the bills is a good job. < hugs >
