Out of curiosity

How many people reading this can provide documentary evidence that they were residents of a particular country for the past eleven years running? I've been asked to do that, and and I'm finding an awful lot of holes in my paper trail. (Gaps in employment can be a stone bastard.)

I can provide credit card bills for about seven years, and IRS info from the past 15. Phone bills for much of that, too. But I tend to keep paper.

I have a mammoth paper trail that defies both logic and logistics. I could do it if I had to but I would need some warning to get the materials in some semblence of order.

What a pain for you!

what about monthly bills (like electric or phone bills)? or rent receipts? I had to do something similar for the university when I first applied. Which I thought was absolutely ridiculous since they'd been sending me junk mail for the past several years as an "alumni"! BUT you can't beat red tape.
