Query

If I mention that I'm worried that with the current censorship kerfuffle, LiveJournal may end up resembling scenic downtown Vorkosigan Vashnoi, would that be too subtle for people?

For me, as it stands, LJ is a communication tool as much as a journal or a blog, and with inquisitorial mindsets, I'm afraid that ... well, it shouldn't be too hard to guess what I'm afraid of.

Afraid all it would do is remind me I still haven't gotten around to reading those books. :-)

As for the kerfuffle, I'm pissed off that a bunch of sloppy vigilantes can cause so much trouble, but I'm reserving judgment on what it really means until LJ actually has a chance to investigate the suspended (not deleted, incidentally) journals and either fails to do so in a reasonable time, or comes back with an unwise verdict.
