At least the Yankees are coming home. Say what you will, getting the last shot in a ballgame is a definite home-field advantage.

And somehow, I think that pitching Curt Schilling with an anke threatening to fall apart is not going to go well for Boston.

Still, it hurts to lose.

And I know what'll happen if the Red Sox win.

There will be gloating. There will be brutality. There will be disparaging things said to New York for years to come.

Of such things are hatreds and blood feuds born and nurtured.

Um...I try not to gloat. It was a really awesome game. Good baseball. Honestly, if the Red Sox win it will be such a relief to me. But I'm way pessimistic about these things. And I hate how nasty people get.

There will be a brief burst of gloating, yes, but look at it this way: if the miracle does occur, and the Sox win again... who's got the better track record for winning the Series next year? I think any gloating won't last long past regular season in 2005.
