Nothing to see here

Not much to report. Have gotten a few good responses from mass e-mail (negative responses seem to have tailed off in the last day or so), and people tell me that the work I did has had positive results.

Good to know. Sometimes, the problem is, you put in a lot of work, the payoff is nebulous and somewhere off in the far future, and the grief you have to absorb for it is immediate.

Anyone ever find that to be the case?

Oh god yes! Constant grief, zero acknowledgement of a difficult job well done, and almost no real way of measuring the postive outcome (if any) was one of the things that caused me to leave my last job.

Am in a much better one now though - still get grief but also get noticed and thanked by management!
