could somebody shoot me?
Gaah. Things not going well.
Went to lie down for a few minutes last night, which turned into two hours asleep before waking up. That led to an inability to even consider going to sleep until 2 in the morning, and then to tossing and turning until 5 - it's not a good sign when you're trying to fall asleep and you're hearing songbirds warming up. Don't remember having that experience since the last time I pulled a near-all-nighter in law school.
Then at eight-thirty, the telephone. Then a screaming argument between family member and someone who was supposed to come by and refinish floor by kitchen, and apparently swung by, took one look, and ditched the appointment while family member was in the shower.
Awake now, and wishing I was asleep. Foul emotional atmosphere permeates the house, and knowledge that this time it's nothing to do with me doesn't help in the slightest.
Also feeling sick to stomach, for no identifiable reason. Hopefully it wasn't something I ate.
