Home again, home again: good, bad, ugly
The good:
- Can crawl into my own bed and curl up under my own covers. Feels very comfortable.
- On last leg of journey, Milan to Newark, seatmate never showed, so had both aisle and window seat to myself. (No center seat on Boeing 767.) Made for adequate legroom, easy escape when plane reached gate at end of journey. Only way it could have worked out better would have been to have for seatmate a friendly eligible bachelorette capable of body-doubling for Eliza Dushku or thereabouts.
The bad:
- Second laptop battery only lasted twenty minutes before conking out. Disheartened.
- Apparently MP3 players are banned on aircraft now? Interfering with navigation equipment? *grinding teeth*
- Waking up at 5am Athens time to catch cab to airport means I've been up 23 hours. Sleepy.
The ugly:
- Athens smog. It's like I imagine LA would be like, with the sprawl and all, except that so far as I know, LA doesn't have a Parthenon sticking up out of midtown.
Night, all. It's good to be home.
