Miscellaneous
1) Talked to my folks in Manhattan yesterday, and they were doing all right, all things considered; my mom was suffering from an illness, but they hadn't had much trouble with the storm. Of course, that was the early afternoon, New York time.
2) Hope they're OK - I saw a picture on the BBC site showing flooding at 72nd Street and the East River Drive (aka the FDR). My folks are ten blocks south; my brother's ten blocks north, and they all live very close to the river.
