State of the irregular, part eleventy-somethingth
The other day I woke up with a sore throat of the kind that is screaming "cold incoming!" Developed a cough yesterday, which cinched it. On the bright side, got lots of sleep the last couple of nights, so that may have helped; feeling somewhat better now.
What also helped was being told by one of the partners in the firm to go home and get some rest and for God's sake don't get her sick because she's nursing a newborn child.
So I did.
It also meant I scrapped my plan to go to the island to celebrate Orthodox Easter, which may be just as well, as weather reports seemed to be indicating heavy weather (rain, cold, etc.) for the whole weekend. I'd already gotten boat tickets (on a traditional ferry; the cat-ferries are all booked up this weekend, as Easter is the big holiday, bigger than Christmas), but I was able to get them opened up for some future date, and all it cost me was train fare to and from Piraeus.
Now if I could just find a two-burner hot plate that'd fit in a 45cm wide counter, I'd be a happy camper.
