One more thing I miss about the U.S. of A.
If you're in an elevator, you think of the sort where the door automatically opens, and gives you enough time to get off, right?
As opposed to something which insists that you push open the door, but if you take a moment too long about it (say, trying to get past a crowd between you and the door), the elevator restarts, not only taking you away from your intended floor, but dragging the hand you're pushing against the door, so that if you don't react immediately, it'll tear the thing off at the wrist, right?
