OK, who stole my week?
Actually, it's been somewhat eventful.
Got a day's worth of work at the law office I was at last year, the one I liked to call Fafnir, Smaug, Abraxas and Tiamat. Mr. Abraxas has left the partnership but still has his office in the same place; he's just his own firm now, I guess. Spent a long day as assistant to one of the associates (not the nasty Mr. Shelob; he has apparently gone on to greener pastures).
Hey, it's a living. And if all goes well, I'm supposed to get paid for it.
Called NYC Legal Aid, asked about jobs. No answer, but it did feel good to be able to say "I'm a licensed attorney in the State of New York".
GEICO sent a check to cover the expenses of repairing the dings to my cruiser's rear end. Only fifteen days after I got blasted, too. Not bad at all.
Sleep patterns have gone ka-flooie, though. Two nights in a row, I was in bed before midnight, awake until five, then asleep until after noon.
Need to fix that.
